Our Accounting Manager will manager accounting and reporting activities of all FIJI entities.  This person will manage all day-to-day accounting operations, with primary responsibility over month-end close.  Thee idea candidate will support domestic and international accounting operations. This position will be hands-on and involved in daily journal entry generation, postings, and all supporting transactions for the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven experienced accounting manager with strong communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with senior management, peers and subordinates.

This position will be based at our HQ Office in Los Angeles and working a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the office.

Job Description

  • Lead the Corporate month-end close, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyzing variances         
  • Provide coaching and hands-on assistance to other team members as needed
  • Ensure completion and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Assist with completion of monthly financial statement consolidation in HFM, including posting of elimination entries for inter-company receivables/payables and equity.
  • Prepare and post Transfer Price adjustment quarterly.
  • Review and analyze accounting transactions, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and provide variance explanations.
  • Assist in the annual external audit by acting as the main point of contact  and working directly with auditors.
  • Assist in statutory audits as required for foreign entities.
  • Manage compliance projects such as tax filings and state audits.
  • Review quarterly reporting packages submitted to Corporate.
  • Review and prepare quarterly income tax projections for domestic and foreign entities.
  • Review tax packages and work directly with the Corporate Tax Department.
  • Manage the completing of various local tax filings for foreign entities prepared by by third party firms.
  • Review inter-company reconciliations and review inter-company transactions.
  • Reconcile IC activity including confirming balances and review of transactions

Qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of work experience in Accounting or Public Accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA a plus
  • Experience with a large-scale ERP system
  • Intermediate-Advanced Excel skills required
  • Excellent accounting background and knowledge of accounting compliance, in particular around month-end closing, general ledger maintenance, and financial analysis
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work with people at all levels across the organization with a team mentality
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframe
  • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption
