We are seeking a positive, driven and responsible leader to support our Tasting Room & Restaurant operations at our beautiful Estate. The Estate Tasting Room Manager oversees all aspects of daily operation of the tasting room. On weekends, the Tasting Room Manager also oversees the Wine Society Lounge Operations and all elevated tasting room experiences. The ideal candidate would be a luxury restaurant manager with a strong passion for wine knowledge that can guide a high-performing team of wine professionals.

• Provide leadership to tasting room employees by effectively communicating and enforcing company policies and procedures, department operations, and partnering with other departments to develop and promote the Landmark / JUSTIN brand image and products
• Maintain flow of operations and schedule staff for each area
• Create and execute engaging, educational and memorable guest experiences; solves guest concerns/complaints using good judgment and tact
• Hold a monthly tasting room meeting and shorter weekly meetings on a regular basis. Also, conduct short “rah-rah” sessions before opening each day to motivate staff
• Oversee the JUSTIN Educational Training program for all staff regardless of department and ensure that all tasting room attendants are properly trained to provide superior customer service at all times
• Share weekly budget data concerning wine sales, merchandise sales, tours, outreach efforts, and employee training progress with the Retail Sales Manager
• Attend local tasting events as directed by the Retail Sales Manager and participate in the Paso wine outreach program (long distance travel is not required for this position)
• Collaborate with the Supervisors, Wine Society Coordinator, and Hospitality department on outreach efforts
• Work with the Merchandise Coordinator to maximize sales of JUSTIN merchandise and wine related merchandise; oversee the budget and sales of merchandise and ensure that the ambiance of the Tasting Room is updated, tasteful and organized
• Attend weekly Hospitality meetings (may trade off with Retail Sales Manager and/or Marketing Manager)
• Facilitate and promote good communication between all departments (Hospitality, Marketing, Wine Society, Accounting, Production, Housekeeping, etc.)

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and two (2) years of retails sales experience
• Experience in a management role or management teams is required
• Experience in the wine industry required
• Excellent communication skills and ability to relate to people at all levels; ability to educate and serve as a mentor
• Ability to establish direction, obtain commitment and execute appropriate management processes
• Introductory Wine Certification (WSET, CMS, ETC) is a plus
• COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption
