Job Description

Overview:

The EHS Training Supervisor is responsible for enhancing the safety program through sustainable training processes of Wonderful Citrus. The Training Supervisor actively researches content and identifies creative ways to train/implement safety principles.  As this person educates, enhances processes, and inspires a strong Safety cultures, they will be most effective.  The EHS Training Supervisor is instrumental in developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines, in partnership with operational leaders and Wonderful Citrus’ Leadership & Organizational Development team.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Prepares and helps support enforcement of policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
  • Ensure there is accurate and timely documentation of processes & procedures for training events
  • Oversee end-to-end training logistics needs –scheduling, instructor support, materials, catering, facilities, and tracking budget to spend
  • Administer feedback/evaluation tools, analyzing and summarizing data to provide recommendations
  • Communicate with employees of all levels of the organization to inform and market available training opportunities
  • Flexibility to travel up to 25% of time to other Wonderful business units across the US such as Texas and New Jersey
  • Evaluate current EHS processes and create a plan for improving the training matrices for departments
  • Utilize UKG Learning LMS to ensure training documentation is tracked for new hires and existing employees
  • Leverage PowerBI and other automation tools, in partnership with IT team to make sure real-time training status updates are available
  • Lead a team of Wonderful Citrus EHS trainers to ensure high quality training delivery, aligned across business units
  • Ensures Wonderful Citrus EHS trainers are receiving up to date certifications to expand their facilitation effectiveness
  • Leads the administration of Learning Management System, UKG, and training effectiveness surveys for EHS team
  • Supports communication efforts that keep employees up to date with rapidly changing OSHA guidelines and policies
  • Partners closely with Wonderful Citrus Communications team to create fresh, engaging content for our onsite and virtual communications
  • Conducts assessments and identify skill/knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
  • Assess effectiveness and summarize evaluation reports determining the impact of training on employees
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
  • Manage communication with instructors, attendees and vendors
  • Market available training opportunities to employees and provide necessary information
  • Facilitates in-house trainings to large groups of employees
  • Manage Employee Training Panel Contract

Qualifications

Here's what you'll bring to the table:

  • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption.
  • Bachelor’s degree from 4-year university in Business, Management, Occupational Safety or related field and 5-7 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in computer usage, email, MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Understanding of packinghouse/manufacturing processes
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills
  • Able to work flexible schedules/shifts as needed for 7-day operation.
  • Proven skills for planning daily/weekly tasks and adapting to competing demands.
  • Strong skills developing relationships across all levels and functions.
  •  Knowledgeable in the application of OSHA/CALOSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Knowledgeable of the worker’s compensation process
  • Professional communication with team members at all levels of the organization

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Agriculture training background
  • Well-developed observational and analytical skills
  • Experience in administering personnel policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Be readily receptive of additional training for the broadening of skills.
  • Must be able to work autonomously
