Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and innovative Biotech manufacturing operation in Central Oregon.  The Operations Technician will gain experience in all aspects of the operation including area oversight, supply chain management, quality control, engineering projects, and continuous improvement sessions.   We are an entrepreneurial driven, fast paced organization with decade long, double-digit growth that hires highly motivated and trained professionals for our teams. 

This is a unique opportunity as part of a small, fun, energetic, and cross-functional team that wants to learn the core manufacturing duties we use in fundamentally changing the nature of the global food supply.   We're looking for those who can provide leadership to a manufacturing team, oversee supply chain functions and support special projects such as new equipment commissioning or continuous improvements.

This position is based in our Bend, Oregon manufacturing headquarters and will require onsite availability M-F for an early day shift (5:30a-3:00p)

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Oversight of an assigned area within the operation, which will change based on the needs of the business and the individual's development
  • Facilitate local and international shipping between business sites and to our customers Oversee the supply of raw materials in an organized fashion to a variety of different production areas
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of Raw Materials and Finished Goods through the use of our ERP system
  • Propose improvements to process and equipment by writing proposals that include ROI calculations
  • Lead problem-solving sessions with quality and operations team members
  • Maintain efficient communication with vendors and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Preferred 4 year degree
  • Bring an energetic can-do approach to any project or responsibility, we are here to learn and have fun
  • Demonstrated experience managing short and long-term projects
  • Enthusiasm for teamwork across multiple functions of the organization
