Job Description

This is a unique opportunity for a strategic sales consultant who wants to partner with growers to fundamentally change the nature of the global food supply.   We're looking for those who can identify opportunities for product advancement, meet with growers in person to provide product insight and partner with our sales team to provide an excellent customer experience.

Here's what you'll do: 

  • Establish productive, mutually beneficial relationships with key growers in our most markets and crops
  • Set targets and forecasts appropriate to existing and new growers with respect to delivery of Suterra products and services
  • Execute grower relations and sales activities with results measured against targets
  • Work cross-functionally with all members of the Suterra field teams to deliver a great grower experience
  • Gather information on competitors, customers, trends and make recommendations to take advantage of market opportunities
  • Provide input and recommendations for new products and services
  • Create and maintain detailed contact records for each grower and grower inquiry
  • Continuously develop yourself by learning more about the industry, the company and by always seeking to improve, and add to, your skillset

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related key account sales experience or alternatively, grower relations experience in agriculture
  • Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks, excellent time management, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in nuts, citrus, grapes or other fruits and vegetables
  • PCA/CCA or other regional licenses or accredited pest or crop advisory certifications preferred, but not required 
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time
