Job Description

Part of NPDL, Container Repairs and Sales (CRS) provides full empty container services including storage, repairs, sales, modifications and leasing. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the efficient ongoing operation of the depot including running efficiencies, maintenance, cost oversight and management of the team. If you love variety this could be the role for you as you could be in the office or in the yard completing various tasks. This is a position where different doors may open if you succeed in this role, so we want a driven person who knows what they are doing, but equally, always wants to learn, develop and progress

Qualifications

You will have had a minimum of 2 years prior leadership experience, overseeing ideally having worked in a transport or logistics environment. Previous experience working in a container depot is preferred.  You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills as well as an excellent focus on safety are crucial for the role.

Your high attention to detail will ensure all inspections are carried out with the greatest accuracy possible and your fantastic organisational and time management skills will ensure you meet and exceed depot timeframes and targets.  We need somebody with a sharp, methodical mind, that can generate repair estimates efficiently against the appropriate industry standards. You will be a self-starter who has a strong work ethic, commitment to attendance and is flexible.

You will also have the ability to pass Ministry of Justice, ACC checks and a drug and alcohol test as part of our recruitment process.

Additional Information

Hours of Work:

A minimum of 40 hours a week Monday to Friday between the hours of 6.00am – 6.00pm. Flexibility to work overtime to meet operational requirements will be required. Rostered Saturdays 7.00am – 1.00pm. Great overtime rates offered!
