Our Sales Planning Department is looking to add a driven and dynamic Demand Planning Analyst to their team in our Del Rey Office (20 minute drive from Fresno)!

As a key member of the Sales Ops team, the Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for managing all aspects of demand planning for POM Juice, Teas, Fresh and Arils product lines for all channels of business. The primary responsibilities for this role include managing internal forecasts and leading Demand Reviews as part of the S&OP process. This also includes performing in-depth analysis and leveraging tools and technology to showcase KPIs. This role will ultimately identify and implement actionable solutions that will improve the overall POM Supply Chain.

This position provides an opportunity for a strong analyst with an interest in sales and supply chain to join an exciting and fast-paced team to help the company achieve its goals. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Sales & Trade Planning.

 

Job Description

Fresh & Arils product lines

  • Maintain supply/demand model for Fresh & Arils businesses during season
  • Review forecasts with Regional Sales Managers
  • Maintain sell-in tracker for customer acceptances
  • Provide updated forecasts to Procurement and Supply Planning teams as required
  • Support supply/demand dashboards in PowerBI
  • Pricing and promotion analysis
  • Support Export sales forecast process
  • Ad-hoc analysis as required
  • Assist Director of Sales with miscellaneous projects as needed

Juice & Teas product lines

  • Lead Demand Review meeting as part of S&OP process
  • Develop monthly forecast for beverage business to provide to Production Planning team
  • Maintain forecast accuracy dashboard
  • Conduct routine reviews of base forecasts with Regional Sales Managers
  • Perform in-depth variance analysis to identify shipment deviations from forecast
  • Work closely with Supply Planning team to communicate any major change to promotional or sales plans that could impact demand
  • Assess different forecast approaches to ensure the best approach is being utilized
  • Work with Sales, Brand Team, and NPD Team to forecast new item launches
  • Work with Customer Service and Sales to troubleshoot inventory issues and shortages
  • Work with Sales Planning Analyst to review planned promotions in Trade Promotion Management (TPM) system and recommend adjustments as necessary based on data and insights
  • Work with Supply Planning team to communicate any major change to promotional or sales plans that could impact demand

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of sales experience, or equivalent years of education and experience
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced computer skills with an emphasis in Microsoft Office suite of products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Experience with point-of-sale data (IRI or Nielsen)
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to swiftly and effectively conduct sales analysis
  • Knowledge of standard project management and milestone based task management
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-project environment and support multiple internal customers
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain, or related area 
  • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption
