You will configure and develop the ServiceNow platform for the entire Wonderful Company. They ensure that the ServiceNow application meets the needs of a broad range of stakeholders by translating requirements into configuration and code that enhances the user experience and creates business value.
The Sr. ServiceNow Developer reports into the Director, IT Operations & collaborates with the existing ServiceNow team and external vendors to build code and engineer solutions to meet delivery of ITSM projects / work items. Development efforts will include (but are not limited to) custom portal pages, modules, API and software integrations, customized web pages, User interface policies, scripts, etc. The Developer will participate in administration of ServiceNow to include upgrades, updates, etc. as needed.
Job Description
- Analyze business requirements to configure / develop / enable capabilities using the ServiceNow platform
- Lead and participate in the development and configuration of various areas including, but not limited to Service Portal, Service Catalog items, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Configuration Management (CMDB) and Reporting / Performance Analytics Design
- Lead and participate in the development / configuration of workflows, forms, scripts, and underlying logic using SCRUM / Agile methodologies
- Formulate functional testing approach, test cases and document them
- Support User Acceptance Tests and deploy code into Production in defined releases
- Support ServiceNow version upgrades
- Offer technical solutions to address complex requirements.
- Evaluate alternate solutions, identify the best option, and implement the solution
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and fix identified ServiceNow system issues
- Provide on-call support when ServiceNow Production issues occur
- Demonstrate expertise supporting the implementation, administration, configuration and/or development of the ServiceNow tool and in providing ITIL and IT Service Management Solutions in IT Infrastructure with expertise
- Advanced working knowledge of various ServiceNow components such as Service Desk, Change Management, Incident Management, Asset Management, Problem Management, Knowledge Management, ServiceNow Scripting, Service Request Management and their relationships the underlying ServiceNow platform
- Proven skills as a ServiceNow platform developer within multiple modules.
- Proven skills with integrations between ServiceNow and third-party applications.
- Experience with web technologies (HTML, AngularJS, RESTful web services, etc.)
- Developing with JavaScript on the ServiceNow platform
Qualifications
- 3+ years of related experience in ServiceNow, programming JavaScript, configuring complex integrations, and configuring Service Portals.
- Hands-on ServiceNow experience meeting client requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management, Information Systems or related discipline preferred.
- ITIL certification is a plus
- COVID vaccination and any additional boosters will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption.
