The Territory Sales Manager role is a great opportunity to be a part of a team devoted to promoting our high-quality branded products.

In this role, the individual is responsible for developing and servicing a geographic sales route in NYC. Responsibilities include new business, service, in store execution, and end of day reconciliation.  This position reports to the DSD Route Sales Manager.

Job Description

  • Act as primary sales contact between Wonderful Sales and trade partners on your route
  • Drive truck to set of accounts designated for that day
  • Review and adjust product mix and placement to maximize sales
  • Forecast and order products for each account, as necessary
  • Manage return rates to, or below, budgeted levels
  • Use and maximize placement of Point of Sales (POS) to increase sales
  • Regularly monitor coolers for appearance and function to ensure quality of products
  • Keep account shelves neat, clean and in order. Pull any out-of-code or damaged products and credit the account for any items removed from the shelf
  • Build orders from back of truck, load onto handcart or dolly and deliver to account
  • Check in orders, take product to designated area and load onto shelves
  • Complete invoicing and collect payment from COD accounts
     

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of DSD Route and/or supermarket experience
  • Previous experience in sales, retail merchandising and customer service
  • Valid Driver’s License and "clear" driving record for past 3 years
  • Ability to drive a 16-foot box truck (no CDL required)
  • Ability to lift 15-40 pounds
  • Must pass a drug screen and background investigation
  • Highly motivated self-starter 
  • Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively, both internally and externally
  • Good math and communication skills with the ability to read, write and speak English
  • An enthusiastic, positive, self-motivated, resourceful team player is a must.
  • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption.
