The WSG delivers high-impact results for the businesses in its portfolio through partnering directly with executive leaders to solve their most pressing strategic and operational issues. Our team of 30+ strategy professionals is made up of individuals with diverse backgrounds in agriculture, consulting, operations, technology, and finance. We work side-by-side with company leaders, helping to craft growth strategies, design operational and technological improvements, and support the long-term health of the organization.

Job Description

  • Support the development of solutions to complex analytical problems, related to warehouse management, fresh produce/beverage processing, process engineering, sales and operations planning
  • Drive critical strategic, operational, technological, and organizational initiatives
  • Form strong, long-lasting partnerships with operating company leadership and C-level executives
  • Grow as leaders through a continued focus on skill development leadership training
  • Manage internal team members development
  • Work directly with our business partners on site in the San Joaquin Valley (Kern, Kings, Tulare, and Fresno Counties) and in Napa, Sonoma, and San Luis Obispo counties depending on specific project requirements

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years working in top tier manufacturing, winery, food/beverage processing, CPG, or farming operations
  • Maturity and executive presence required to work in a highly autonomous role with prolonged periods of direct senior business unit executive client engagement
  • Domain expertise achieved through a mixture of education and work experience in any of the following fields: food/beverage processing, agronomy, viticulture/enology, continuous improvement, food science, ag credit, food/ag-focused private equity, agtech, or similar
  • Ability to hit the ground running with Central Valley-focused project work
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive extensively and operate autonomously in rural areas throughout the Central Valley
  • Fluent or conversational Spanish, Mixteco, Zapoteco, Nahuatl, Maya, or Otomí are all highly valued
  • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption
