Are you our next Assistant Construction Manager?

We are building a ‘best in class’ Construction Management Team.  We need an organized and knowledgeable Assistant Construction Manager to partner with GC’s and contactors and to complete projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.  They will assist with budget preparation and oversite, organization, implementation, and scheduling for multiple projects ranging from $12-50M. 

Job Description

What our Assistant Construction Manager will do:

  • Oversee and direct construction multiple projects as assigned
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Review consultant and contractor invoicing and provide financial tracking reports
  • Plan to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
  • Maintain a Safe Construction Zone – ensure all contractors meet and follow OSHA standards
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

Qualifications

Skills & experience that are necessary as our Assistant Construction Manager will include, but not limited to:

  • Minimum 2 Years of Construction Project Management experience with either In-ground, TI, or Company representative
  • Working knowledge of all permitting/regulations require i.e. CEQA, SWPPP, Phase I, II, or III Environmentals, SJVAPCD regulations, Earthwork and Building permits, etc.
  • Familiarity with construction software such as MS Project, Procore, BlueBeam
  • Competent in the conflict and crisis management
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional capacity with the capacity to communicate al all level of the organization.
  • BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field desired but not necessary
