SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Sr. Recruiter is responsible for providing the highest level of staffing services to Wonderful Pistachios and Almonds (WP&A) leaders and associates. This position delivers high quality professional, management, and director-level candidates and extends the WP&A brand across numerous markets and professional communities, while guiding hiring managers and candidates through the WP&A selection process.

This individual will perform full lifecycle recruiting and maintain excellent relations with hiring managers, candidates, and the community at-large. A wide degree of creativity, near- and long-term recruiting vision, business understanding, and personal organization is required. This position will foster and engage in effective strategic recruitment, source, attract and hire top quality candidates. Must have the ability to produce results in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment. Must exhibit initiative and commitment, will be comfortable and able to work in a flexible ever changing environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide exceptional client service and full lifecycle recruiting within WP&A:

o   Confers with leadership to identify personnel needs, workforce planning strategies, and search assignments.

o   Ensures an understanding of job duties responsibilities and business requirements.

o   Develops and maintains strong working relationships with WP&A leaders, vendors, community organizations, and other team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results and credibility.

o   Develops and maintains a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified leaders.

o   Leverages online recruiting resources and in-house employees to identify and recruit the very best candidates.

o   Creates and fosters relationships with colleges and diverse professional organizations.

o   Reviews resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements.

o   Provides complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position.

o   Prescreens candidates. Creates and presents prescreening questions to hiring managers for collaboration and approval.

o   Manages and coordinates all communication with candidates.

o   Interviews all candidates presented for detailed interviewing by hiring managers, and includes the use of face-to-face behavioral-based interviewing methodologies.

o   Prepares candidates for interviewing with WP&A and specific hiring managers by providing detailed information on the company, our business strategy, department background, job descriptions, and expectation-setting.

o   Organizes, leads and documents post-interview debrief/feedback with interview teams and candidates.

o   Reviews the hiring manager’s interview performance with each candidate and take appropriate action when warranted.

o   Performs detailed reference checking and/or reference analysis on selected candidates and reviews results with hiring managers.

o   Extends offer of employment to selected candidates under the direction of the hiring managers and within the guidelines of WP&A compensation policy.

o   Manages the presentation, selection, offer, negotiation, closing, and administrative components involved in full lifecycle recruiting.

o   Conducts follow-up calls and quality-improvement studies with hiring managers and new hires.

o   Maintains accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring manager’s interactions, and other recruiting activities to ensure a legally compliant process.

o   Uses effective communication approaches that include proactively keeping others informed, appropriately expressing ideas and thoughts verbally and in written form, and timeliness.

o   Works cooperatively with all members of the recruitment team to develop and implement recruitment plans and activities.

o   Visits all hiring-manager departments to develop a thorough understanding of the department culture and uses that understanding to help candidates fully understand the opportunity.

o   Participates in the development of ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies.

o   Develops an effective pipeline of key talent potentially available for immediate hire as succession planning needs dictate.

o   Stays informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to be competitive in state-of-the-Art recruiting practices.

Manages temporary housing and relocation activity for out of area candidates.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Language skills

  • Excellent project management, writing, and oral communication skills are required.
  • Ability to present new recruiting concepts and strategies to executive leadership and technical communities.

Mathematical skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, along with computing ratios, and percentages. 

Reasoning ability

  • Must be able to manage competing demands, accept criticism and constructive feedback, while being extremely adaptable and flexible.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills.

Computer skills

  • The utilization of computer software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) are key. 
  • Knowledge and extensive past use of a server-based applicant tracking system, preferably data base management.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, or related discipline required.
  • 5 years’ experience in full lifecycle recruiting.

o   An expert level of knowledge in but not limited to, sourcing, screening, qualifying, networking, assessing, legal requirements, job analysis, wage and salary trends, and relationship management.
