Job Description

The Role:

The Manager, eFlorist User Experience will be passionate about creating the best user experience for our member florists. This role will lead the UX team as we focus on identifying opportunities to improving the experience on the eFlorist platform and manage custom coding requests for our largest florists. The Manager, eFlorist User Experience is instrumental in fostering the online success of our most valued florists by serving in a consultative and management role for their requests.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about front-end web design, possess superior organizational and technical skills, and have a proven track record of delivering results. This role requires a balance of being a “doer” who can roll up their sleeves and code, and oversee longer-term goals. If you are a driven web developer who enjoys creating solutions to promote growth for small and medium businesses, along with a passion for testing and implementing new services, then this may be the role for you.

The Manager, eFlorist User Experience is based in Oklahoma City, OK and will report to the Sr. Director of Product, eFlorist. This role will have 3-5 direct reports.

A Day in the Life at Teleflora:

  • Lead the eFlorist UX team in implementing platform level enhancements, as well as managing requests for individual florists
  • Drive improvements to the eFlorist platform through analysis of customer behavior to increase the performance and conversion opportunities
  • Identify and influence new opportunities to drive growth on the eFlorist platform, reduce barriers, or improve site speed/performance
  • Manage release cycle deliverables and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure successful code deployments on the eFlorist platform
  • Lead development of A/B tests and partner with the product team on implementing winning ideas
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with internal partners and external vendors/suppliers
  • Keep current with the latest e-commerce technology, trends, solutions and providers to keep the eFlorist offerings competitive

Qualifications

Your Contributions to Teleflora:

  • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption
  • 2+ years in a team management or project management role and a track record of increased responsibility
  • Advanced understanding of web development technology (HTML, CSS, JS, Git, etc.) with experience in optimization and code efficiency
  • Proven understanding of development best practices for image optimization, code performance, Google web vitals, and WCAG standards
  • Experience with implementing scalable solutions for a platform through common code files, testing processes, and detailed documentation
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative) coupled with an attention to detail. Must demonstrate the ability to both think strategically and execute tactically
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting results to senior executives
  • Experience leading customer facing communications (preferably B2B environment)
  • Demonstrated record of partnering with teams across the organization and influencing to achieve business results across multiple teams
  • Proven ability to prioritize and deliver multiple projects, adhering to tight deadlines in a constantly changing and extremely fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge of JIRA, SCSS, Backbone and Ruby preferred
  • BA/BS graduate required

Due to Covid-19, Teleflora employees currently work from home. You will need to have a quiet, home office area with reliable internet coverage and will be provided with equipment. Working from home is temporary and employees will return to the office in Paragould at a later time this year.
