Job Description

The role of the POS Support Technician is to provide help desk technical assistance and support our florists, utilizing excellent communication and customer service skills, for hardware and software applications developed and sold by Teleflora in an ever-changing environment and industry.

COVID 19

Due to Covid-19, Teleflora employees currently work from home. You will need to have a quiet, home office area with reliable internet coverage and will be provided with equipment. Working from home is temporary and employees will return to the office in Paragould, AR soon.

A day in the life at Teleflora:

Use your active listening, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve the customer's issues and educate them on features and functionality in a call center type environment. You will be communicating with florists with different levels of computer skills from "none at all" to "proficient".

  • Assist Teleflora florists via phone, email, and chat sessions in support of the various application software packages and operating systems (Windows/Linux) sold by Teleflora
  • Strive for effective first call resolution
  • Meet or exceed the department standard for call handling, quality, and productivity
  • Document all contacts into the Call / Problem Tracking system
  • Escalate and direct calls as necessary
  • Provide user feedback to management, quality assurance, and development
  • Perform all activities in compliance with the Payment Card Industry requirements
  • Perform other tasks as required

Qualifications

Your contributions to Teleflora:

COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption.

Education:

Successful completion of MIS, Networking or Accounting courses at the college level or 2-4 years equivalent work experience is preferred.

Knowledge:

Basic knowledge of various PC hardware platforms, printers, operating systems, with a fundamental understanding of business applications, i.e. POS, Order Entry, Accounting packages, etc.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to interact positively and effectively in a team setting
  • Must display a strong desire to achieve and maintain high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Must be willing to work 24/7 in mission critical situations or customer sensitive situations
  • Must display strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Must be a self-starter, displaying high levels of initiative, motivation, and ability to effectively manage time

Working Conditions:

  • Overtime work may be required, especially during holiday periods
  • Work is performed in an inside office environment and some travel may be involved
  • Saturday schedule is required
  • Punctuality is required in this call center environment
