Job Description

We are looking for eager and energetic candidates to fill the role of eFlorist Technician. The primary function of this position is to act as the front line contact to provide website assistance and excellent customer service to our member florists. Each interaction with our consumers should be used to reinforce Teleflora's commitment to superior customer care as well as reflecting technical expertise and excellent customer service skills.


A day in the life at Teleflora:

  • Due to Covid-19, this position will be working from home temporarily. You'll need to have a strong internet connection (No satellite or Hughesnet). Your internet speed must be 5 Mbps. You can take a speed test by visiting www.speedtest.net. There will come a time when the company will resume working in the office. This is not a permanent work from home position.
  • You'll be sitting at a computer, wearing a headset, and will troubleshoot and support all customers via phone, email or chat with website questions/issues
  • Your main function will be to work directly with our member florists to create a website for their flower shop. You'll be helping the florist select the website template, load artwork and custom images, scan and register URL's. This website is one method the florist relies on to bring in floral orders. The goal is to create and support the florist website and ensure we as a company are driving traffic to their website
  • You will use your excellent customer service skills to provide support and meet the needs of our florists
  • Assist in communicating changes and updates to the program to Teleflora Staff
  • Ability to write code in HTML and CSS format is a plus!
  • Assist with basic search engine optimization, marketing through social media, online marketing and branding
  • Assist with daily departmental operations as required

Qualifications

Your contribution to Teleflora:

COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption.

Education:

  • High school diploma, college business course, technical course certification, or an undergraduate degree a positive

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Experience working with hospitality industry, travel related work or public relations work
  • Previous floral shop or related industry experience preferred
  • Previous experience creating/designing web sites and graphic design skills preferred
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Familiarity and experience with the Internet and websites required
  • Basic knowledge of MS-Word, Excel and Outlook required, HTML, CSS experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Photoshop preferred
  • Basic knowledge of search engine optimization, marketing through social media, online marketing and branding
  • Experience in small business consulting preferred

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and to communicate these concepts in a manner that non-technical florists can understand them
  • Must handle multiple tasks and have a strong attention to detail in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in teams
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Display a desire to achieve and attain high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrate technical aptitude and enthusiasm in various system technologies and disciplines
  • Must be able to maintain a fast and consistent activity pace at all times
  • Must portray high levels of professionalism, appearance, motivation, and positive attitude

Working Conditions:

  • Must be capable of working extended hours to meet company needs
  • Holiday time off will be prohibited due to increased work load
  • Work is performed in a fast-paced, solutions oriented office environment and some travel may be involved
  • Strong time management skills and able to meet stringent deadlines
