Job Description

Overview:

The Quality Systems Lead plays a key role in supporting the business with timely collection and review of data. This role also assists with identifying quality and/or food safety trends based on the ongoing review of the data. The Quality Systems Lead must be familiar with both the quality and food safety processes across our packing locations to ensure effective collection, review and follow up of quality and food safety data.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Support in execution of packinghouse quality and food safety programs. This may include the completion of on-site observations of quality inspection processes and food safety audits as needed.
  • Update and share daily, weekly, monthly quality and food safety reports.
  • Review quality data to identify trends for the food safety and quality leadership to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Conducts claim/complaint investigations for all US locations and provides information to on-site quality teams for further investigation and complaint management.
  • Maintain active role on local continuous improvement teams.
  • Supports in the execution of the quality system training manuals including updates and changes.
  • Consistent adherence to on-site food safety/GMP expectations.
  • Delivery of consistent and accurate quality and food safety data.
  • Prioritization of data entry and project completion based on business need.
  • Escalation of trends based on quality/food safety results.

  • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a food processing environment and/or combination equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with Oracle or other SAP program desired.
  • Advance knowledge of food safety practices and GMPs required.
  • Problem-solving skills are essential to this position.
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI and Oracle.
