Job Description

Overview:

Responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. This position creates and maintains forecast models for customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts, and other sources (i.e. Nielsen or other syndicated consumer data). This role is expected to develop individuals and teams to solve operational issues and motivate team members to achieve performance targets.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Support Supply Chain demand planning goals of 99% average case fill rate.
  • Maintain finished goods month end average inventory value as per goal and support critical inventory levels of top 60 resources.
  • Forecast and sales analysis of all items and provides data to Sales and Finance in cases and dollars.
  • Networking with Sales and Marketing on new and or lost business.
  • Provide forecast to Advanced Planning for 3 month production plan for the Purchasing department.
  • Monthly KPI analysis to Finance, Logistics, Sales and Operation on sales and forecast variance in dollars and cases.
  • Prepare annual 12 month production plans for purchasing department using ABP.
  • Budget forecast for ABP.
  • Empower and develop members of the team through developing, evaluating, training, coaching and succession planning

Qualifications

Here's what you'll bring to the table:

  • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption.
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a USDA environment desired.
  • Production planning and scheduling experience required.
  • At least 1 year of experience leading a team
  • Must excellent mathematical skills and the ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to define problems to collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. APICS certification desired.
  • Proven leadership abilities and able to work independently.
