Job Description

A day in the life at Wonderful:

We are seeking an experienced LeadHealth Coaching to join our Central Valley health and wellness team. The role is based at our Lost Hills, CA Wellness Center but may require travel to other locations within the Central Valley.

The RD will serve as an integral part of our onsite primary care team, responsible for helping patients improve their health by providing them with tools and motivation to make healthier choices. The RD will field calls/emails/texts from patients, take patients' vitals, follow-up with patients, host health fairs and group educational sessions, and serve as advocates for patients in all areas related to health and wellness.

In this highly interactive role the RD will implement nutritional care within established standards of practice and provide appropriate intervention including the planning of therapeutic diets, performance of nutritional assessments, educate employees and their families on healthy eating and cooking, develop nutrition information and counsel patients.

The RD will function as an active member of the healthcare team by contributing expertise in nutrition to ensure the provisions of optimal care. This position will be instrumental in educating on healthy eating habits and consult with those with special nutritional requirements while working with our corporate wellness teams to deliver balanced and complete menu offerings. This role reports into Senior Director of Clinical Operations and is based in Lost Hills, CA. The role does require travel to other locations in the Central Valley.

Qualifications

Your contribution to Wonderful:

  • Minimum 3 years nutritional services experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD), or a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM). If not currently certified, certification to be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is must.
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy to individuals and in a group setting to help manage diabetes and obesity.
  • Experience creating and customizing therapeutic menus and diet plans.
  • Able to evaluate the Medical Nutrition Therapy needs of patients and implements appropriate interventions to improve their nutritional status.
  • Provide in-service training to food staff on topics related to Nutrition and Foodservice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills.
  • Presentation and team facilitation experience.
  • Computer proficiency and a working knowledge of Microsoft programs and EMR required.​
  • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption.
