Job Description

A day in the life at Wonderful:

We seek a Senior Manager of Career Services to oversee our career development programs directed at offering job search skills, soft skills, networking and marketing skills to college and high school graduates. This role reports into the Director of the Wonderful Career Center and is based in Delano, CA with travel to other locations throughout the Central Valley.

The Role:

  • Partner with the College Success Team to support onboarding of College graduates towards fulltime employment and or internships.
  • Support Work-Based Learning Team to support the onboarding process for our High School graduates towards fulltime employment.
  • Support the ongoing monitoring and job search support of graduates from our Programs towards fulltime employment with a living wage.
  • Extensive cross-group coordination at all levels with both internal external stakeholders overseeing the work-based learning curriculum and experiences that are fundamental to the pathway program of study.

Career Center programs

  • Maintain curriculum for; onboarding, Job Search, and other skill-based workshops towards long-term career success. (Mentoring, Networking, Financial Literacy Career workshop, Job Shadows, and Internships)
  • Support existing relationships with Wonderful companies and create new partnerships with other businesses.
  • Plan and execute Careers exposure conferences and professional skills conferences for all program

Data Management

  • Review data for alignment to outcome and goals and monitor programmatic student progress
  • Develop and streamline data collection process, from beginning to end; strong emphasis on Salesforce adoption
  • Provide report updates and analysis on a regular basis
  • Monitor program content, attend training and conferences, and incorporate innovative ideas into the department.

Qualifications

Your contribution to Wonderful:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (education, business, or human resources)
  • 3-5 years of work experience in an educational or workforce development setting
  • Experience working at a start-up or high-growth organization is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Outstanding focus, flexibility, and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work well with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship building and detailed planning and coordination to build a seamless program
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless the candidate has a legally valid exemption
  • Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization in a positive upbeat manner
  • A passion for the advancement of the education of students in the Central Valley of California
  • Flexible and able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred
