Job Description

The Sourcing Analyst will be a key member of the FIJI® Water Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain group. The group's mission is to drive profitable sales growth by driving down cost of goods by leading strategic sourcing projects and continuous innovation of packaging applications. The position will drive all strategic sourcing related projects mostly focusing on, but not limited to, packaging for Justin Vineyards and Winery and Landmark Vineyards. In this role, you will be responsible for flawless execution of all activities related to packaging procurement, sourcing strategies, cost savings initiatives and new vendor/product qualification. The Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for driving down costs of goods, while improving quality and processes.

A Day In The Life at FIJI Water:

  • Assist in developing the sourcing strategy for Wine Packaging materials such as glass, labels, capsules, corks, and corrugate, among other packaging categories
  • Assist in all procurement activities for wine packaging materials, including but not limited to tracking bottling schedules, submitting orders, negotiating pricing, following vendor production schedules, scheduling deliveries, processing invoices
  • Handle all quality issues related to wine packaging materials, including but not limited to monitoring quality complaints, collecting data, working with suppliers on root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Develop and issue RFPs for all sourcing related projects including but not limited to procurement, supply chain/logistics, professional services, capital projects
  • Act as the project manager or team member and lead or assist functional marketing, operations and sourcing teams to drive new product/vendor development from concept to implementation
  • Responsible for meeting annual COGS targets by managing supplier contracts, spend and performance
  • Develop, grow and maintain network of qualified suppliers of all primary and secondary packaging materials
  • Conduct financial analyses to achieve the optimum cost/value relationship
  • Understand and monitor key spending trends, cost drivers, market factors, geographic considerations, and strategic importance of critical commodities in order to implement appropriate sourcing strategies
  • Track metrics, including external benchmarks, to monitor performance and allow for data-driven decision making
  • Stay up to date with new packaging innovations/technology and recommend cost saving opportunities
  • Work with operations and marketing team to develop and maintain detailed specification documents for all packaging materials which include technical drawings, testing procedures, AQLs, shipping formats, current artwork
  • Travel is up to 15%, primarily in North America

Your Contribution to FIJI Water:

  • BS/BA in business, packaging engineering or related field
  • 3 years of sourcing experience required, preferably in packaging
  • Knowledge in flexible and secondary packaging a plus
  • Knowledge of printing technology a plus
  • Strong leadership, relationship building and communication skills
  • Strong analytical thinking is required
  • Ability to present information in a clear and concise format to all levels of the organization
  • Excellent project management skills, especially in cross function team settings
  • High attention to detail is a must
  • High level of proficiency in Excel and Power Point
  • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption
