You may know us as Wonderful Pistachios, POM juice, Halos Citrus, and Fiji Water, but we're all one Wonderful -- and we are looking to expand our Sales Analytics Team. Wonderful Sales is currently seeking a Sales Analytics Associate in our Los Angeles Office to maintain and improve data management efforts, create and improve Power BI reporting and analytics, and support end users on data-related topics. This position will work closely with the Sales Analyst and Sales Analytics Manager as well as communicate regularly with business units.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for data analytics, enjoy leveraging data to drive business decisions, and can work independently as well as a part of a team. Must be detail-orientated, have an aptitude for investigating, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
Job Description
A Day In The Life at Wonderful Sales:
Master Data Management
- Master data management across multiple systems and business units (i.e. cleansing and normalizing data, removing duplicates, and incorporating rules/systems to eliminate incorrect data from entering the system)
- Extract and prepare sales data from external portals to upload to our data warehouse
- Gather specifications for data source requirements; provide consultation on data structure, process for data extraction and collaborate with IT to implement
- Collaborate with IT and users to validate data integrations and maintain data quality
- Troubleshoot user reported issues and see through to solutions; implementing safeguards
- Create and maintain documentation for data standards (master data, reference data, data quality and integration rules)
- Work closely with business units and stakeholders in identifying data related opportunities
- Develop data quality reports to monitor the health of the enterprises' master data
- Identify and lead data quality improvement initiatives
- Be a champion for data integrity
Business Intelligence
- Optimize queries and data modeling to extract, manipulate and/or calculate information ensuring high performance and analytics for end users
- Maintain users, data refreshes, usage metrics, workspace/app settings and security for Power BI published reports
- Troubleshoot user reported issues and see through to solutions; implementing safeguards
- Create and produce reports utilizing our data warehouse and other sources and summarize your findings through automated visualizations in Power BI
- Reconcile data discrepancies between source system reports and reports generated through data warehouse; comfortable manipulating large data sets, digging into details, and identifying the drivers of discrepancies
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of the underlying data
Qualifications
Your Contribution to Wonderful:
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years of experience with manipulating large datasets, building data visualizations, and sales analytics; consumer packaged goods preferred
- BA/BS in Business, Computer Sciences/Engineering or associated discipline
- Experience with data management and relational database design and familiarity with data formats, table joins, and ETL
- Experience using analytical tools to support data analysis, reporting, and visualization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Advanced Excel required. VBA, SQL & Power BI a plus
- COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption
