Job Description

We've been a part of The Wonderful Company family since 1979, with a nationwide network of florists we've become the world's largest flower delivery service. With more than 10,000 member florists in North America, we lead the industry by working directly with our florists to hand-arrange and hand deliver every bouquet! We're a sustainable network of locally owned florists. The Information Security Engineer is responsible for the security of an organization's computer systems. You will configure security policies on security products including endpoint protection, network intrusion and prevention systems, web application firewalls, and other similar security tools. You will perform vulnerability testing to detect cybersecurity threats. To identify weaknesses that may be exploited by malicious parties, you will participate in penetration testing, which simulates the methodologies used by cybersecurity threats. You will resolve any incidents related to network perimeter and security infrastructure devices. You will participate in the annual PCI-DSS assessment. You will integrate security controls into new systems and applications. You will participate in an on-call rotation where you will be expected to respond to incidents outside of standard work hours. Apart from these, there are additional tasks that may be assigned pertaining to the betterment of the IT security program.

A Day In The Life at Teleflora:

  • Penetration Testing - simulating cybersecurity threats
  • Vulnerability Assessment - network and application scanning
  • Vulnerability Remediation - directly or working with other IT teams
  • Practical knowledge Linux and Windows-based systems
  • Scripting - NodeJS, Python, Ruby, GO, C++, bash, PowerShell
  • IPS/IDS config/policy management
  • Web Application Firewall (WAF) management
  • Automation -- Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet,
  • Container technology -- Docker, containerd, Kubernetes
  • REST API/webhooks
  • Process documentation - OneNote, MediaWiki, Confluence

Knowledge of standards and regulations:

  • NIST
  • ISO-27001
  • PCI-DSS
  • GDPR/CCPA

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Incident response
  • SIEM monitoring
  • WAF configuration changes
  • Reviewing vulnerability scans -- network, source code, application
  • Providing support and guidance to end users and other IT engineers
  • Audit and compliance tasks as required

Qualifications

Your Contribution to Teleflora:

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, InfoSec or other technical disciplines or 5+ years' work experience
  • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption

  • CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker
  • CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional
  • CISA - Certified Information Security Manager
  • GIAC -Security Essentials
  • OSCP - Offensive Security Certified Pentester
