Job Description

FIJI Water sells a portfolio of world class products such as FIJI Water, Justin Wines and Landmark Wines. FIJI Water is the #1 imported bottled water brand and the top selling premium bottled water in the United States. Justin Wines was selected as Wine Enthusiast's 2015 American Winery of the Year and is located in Paso Robles, CA. Landmark wines is located in Sonoma, CA. The company is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA.

The entire FIJI Water product portfolio has experienced double digit growth over the last three years. This has brought with it the challenge of keeping operations up with the rapid growth. In addition, we recently decided to transform the way FIJI Water delivers product to consumers. Instead of the historical delivery to distributors who then perform direct store replenishment, FIJI has recently converted to deliver directly to retailers.

The Director of Transportation, the Director of Distribution and the Director of Customer Service will work in conjunction under the Associate Vice President of Logistics to re-envision how we establish close partnerships with our retailers to deliver world class products and services.

  • Manage team to tender loads based on carrier management strategy
  • Work closely with the Director of Distribution to organize inbound drayage into our 3PL warehouses and outbound trucking from our 3PLs to customer warehouses.
  • Evaluate total cost to deliver (including lumper fees, customer appt/delivery requirements) vs pick up opportunities with customers' logistics teams
  • Develop strategy for LTL vs TL usage
  • Monitor the status of deliveries. Quickly develop contingency plans as necessary to minimize delays.
  • Configure Oracle TMS to provide automated delivery status and self-invoicing potential for both LTL and TL loads.
  • Lead the Transportation team to achieve business goals in support of expected double digit growth. Foster positive relationships and close collaborations with internal and external stakeholders.
