Job Description
This role isn’t just about deploying inventory; as an Allocator, you’ll help make sure our inventory is smartly distributed. We have different store formats, locations and varied customer groups; use your analytical skills and understanding of our category/product assortment to support customer demand, sales opportunities, promotions and new product launches by getting the right stock into the right stores on time.
You’ll use data and insights to understand stock trends, product performance and store needs, working closely with Planning, Buying, Store Operations and Supply Chain teams to keep stock moving smoothly across the network.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyse stock trends, levels, sales performance and purchasing behaviour to make replenishment and allocation recommendations
- Manage daily and weekly exceptions in RELEX to reduce overstocks and stock outs
- Collaborating with merchandise, planning and operations teams to help manage supply challenges and keep stock moving smoothly for key events, promotions and seasonal activity
- Supporting stock allocations from distribution centres to stores, including manual orders when needed
- Help manage new products and product exits, making sure information is kept up to date
- Help identify risks, gaps and opportunities that supports customer demands and trading priorities
Qualifications
You’re analytical, curious and detail-focused, with an interest in how stock availability impacts store performance and customer experience. You’re comfortable working with data, spotting opportunities and finding better ways of doing things.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in inventory allocation, stock management, replenishment, retail operations or merchandise planning support
- Confidence using allocation, inventory or reporting systems
- Intermediate Excel skills and strong attention to detail
- The ability to interpret data and turn insights into practical recommendations
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Good communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders
- Commercial awareness of how stock availability impacts sales and customer experience
- A proactive mindset and willingness to keep learning
