Job Description
We’re embarking on a major re-platforming initiative to modernise our Point of Sale and in-store systems across The Warehouse and Warehouse Stationery. This is a chance to work on meaningful tech that powers thousands of transactions daily and directly supports our store teams.
You’ll join a cross-functional team focused on designing and building mobile applications using Kotlin Multiplatform and Jetpack Compose. You’ll collaborate with UX designers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver clean, scalable solutions that integrate with our wider retail systems. The work is hands-on, iterative, and grounded in solving real problems.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop high-quality native Android applications
- Collaborate with UX designers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver new features
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy
- Maintain and improve existing applications
- Champion best practices in testing, CI/CD, and documentation
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
• 5+ years of Android development experience
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) and app migration
• Solid understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns (MVVM, etc.), and testing frameworks
• SQL and API integration skills
• Familiarity with agile delivery and DevOps practices
• Bonus: cross-platform experience (iOS) and a collaborative mindset
