We are currently seeking interest for a 6-month parental leave cover for our Buying Apparel team (chapter). This is a great development opportunity for someone with a good base knowledge of Buying to take a step forward in the world of apparel buying.

Our Buying Apparel chapter are passionate experts in buying and assortments across Woman’s, Men’s & Kids. Creating customer-centric product ranges that meet our high standards on quality, design, and value– delivering commercial results whilst exciting always keeping our customer, and their experience, first in mind.

As Buying Chapter Member, you’ll be responsible for undertaking activities to align to your squad’s mission, ensuring the right assortment of products and translating the strategy into actionable deliverables to deliver to meet the squad’s mission and commercial goals!

This role is critical to our success! Your key to the role is:

• Analysing product, customer insights and market trends (both local and global) to build ranges and promotions that our customers both want & need.
• Delivering on sales and profit.
• Working cross-functionally to help develop and implement the strategic direction.

This is a great development opportunity for someone with a good base knowledge of Buying or Associate Buying experience ready to take a step forward in the world of apparel buying.   

Having great communication and negotiation skills are essential to unlock collaboration, productivity, and speed to market so we can quickly adapt to ever-changing customers’ needs. Enjoying working cross functionally with wider business functions, including Planning, Marketing, QA, Operations, Design, and our overseas sourcing offices is critical for our success.

Your drive to contribute whilst taking ownership means you work effectively, both independently and collaboratively to deliver your best work and commercial results for the business.

We are ideally looking for someone with:

• Buying or Associate Buying experience in Apparel
• Garment construction, fabrications and quality soft goods experience is desirable
• Experience with offshore sourcing and production, and supplier/factory liaison
• Strong commercial acumen as well as a resilient and driven nature
• Ability to deliver to critical paths
• Decisiveness in a fast-moving environment
• Curious, innovative, and collaborative
