Job Description

Our procurement chapter is growing, and we currently have a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned and commercially astute Procurement Category Manager (Non-Trade Procurement chapter member) to join us. To round out this close-knit team, we’re looking for someone with a strong grounding in procurement category management, in digital and IT.

Our wider Sourcing team works to secure sustainable products and services through establishing strong supplier relationships, delivering fair commercial terms and establishing clear service agreements to protect the business’ high standards of quality. The Non-Trade Procurement chapter is responsible for the overall governance of non-trade procurement, with a focus on overseeing clear procurement policies and executing group-wide category strategies and selection methodologies, managing our supplier relationships, excellent negotiating and achieving fair commercial terms, contract management and ensuring our SLAs are met.

Qualifications

Being a seasoned indirect/non-trade procurement professional, your thorough approach to category planning is efficient; you’re able to quickly assess where you can deliver commercial, service value and cost savings to the business whilst aligning closely to our business objectives, values and standards. Backed with strong project management and delivery capabilities, you’ll be across a mix of continuous improvement and optimization work and opportunities to take ownership of end to end projects.

Key skills include:

  • Proven indirect/non-trade procurement experience, with a passion for sustainability
  • IT & Digital procurement
  • Exceptional influencing and negotiation skills and contract management experience
  • Supplier selection and management experience
  • Ideally experience working in similar large, complex organisations
  • A love of retail (and the fast pace) 

We will rely on your excellent communication and relationship management skills, as this role will see you work cross-functionally with a range of internal stakeholders at all levels.
