Job Description

As a company born in the digital era, we are very lucky to have a clean data infrastructure established; with advanced tracking, single customer view, granular and aggregated data ready to modelled, drive exciting new product features, and business understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Help TheMarket.com leverage our diverse data set to develop intelligent predictive product initiatives with the customer at the heart, driving engagement, retention and satisfaction across the user base.
  • Champion advanced analytics with-in the business, working in a highly influential role and inputting into feature development and producing reports to aid strategic customer decision making.
  • Develop and code software programs, algorithms, mathematical approaches and automated processes to solve business problems.
  • Use analytical rigor and statistical methods, machine learning, programming, data modelling, simulation and advanced mathematics to analyse large amounts of data, recognizing patterns, identifying opportunities, posing business questions and making valuable discoveries.
  • Research new ways for modelling and predicting behaviour.
  • Generate and test hypotheses, designing experiments to answer targeted questions of moderate to advanced complexity.
  • Document projects including business objective, data gathering and processes, leading approaches, final algorithm, detailed set of results and analytical metrics.
  • Help other team members in own areas of expertise.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a quantitative discipline: Analytics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience in advanced analytics related roles.
  • Well versed in predictive modelling and forecasting techniques, with proven achievements and track record of success.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in e-commerce an advantage.
  • Self-motivated creative problem solver who can work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • A love for data - we are looking for a person who is excited about different and unique data sets and all the ways that they could be used to provide business insight that is relevant and digestible.
  • The ability to tell a story from the data you’ve analysed to a vast array of stakeholders who possess a wide range of analytical acumen.
