Job Description

We have a great opportunity for an Inventory Manager to join our Logistics & Supply Chain team based in our Hamilton DC

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining operational excellence and assisting in delivering cost savings through inventory management. You will oversee a team of 2-5 staff ensuring the accurate and timely recording of all inventory transactions and optimal product layout, as well as compliance with all processes and procedures.

Other duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Maintenance of stock control and reconcile with business systems
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly
  • Conduct regular cycle count and audit activity in line with group business policies
  • Contribute to maintain Inventory Standard Operating Procedures
  • Conduct audit activity to highlight performance standards against those procedures
  • Manage performance against daily SLA targets
  • Manage SLA’s on return product
  • Continually review and modify models to ensure it supports the changing needs of the business
  • Lead, develop and coach your team
  • Actively drive a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture by promoting and role modelling safe working practices

Being able to lead and motivate your team is a key aspect of this role. You will need to have proven leadership experience to ensure you can drive team members to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications within a supply chain discipline is desirable but not essential
  • Experience in financial processes and reporting requirements
  • Leadership skills and ability manage teams of people
  • Aptitude for process development and adherence
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Innate planning and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated Numeric aptitude
