We are looking for a numerically savvy and commercially focused person to join our Home Merchandise Planning Team as an Assistant Planner.

Assistant Planners play a key role in ensuring that our customers get what they want, when they want it. They support Planners and Buyers as they source product, select ranges, plan pricing, promotions, store allocations, and then monitor it all as it sells in store.

This fixed term position provides exposure to anyone interested in developing a career in retail - as an Assistant Planner you will be involved with most aspects of running a retail business and the challenges it provides from product ranging allocations, through to marketing compliance and stock clearance.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Report creation and analysis
• Order tracking and logistics
•  Liaising with stores and suppliers
• Stock allocation and replenishment
• And in time supporting the Planner in maintaining budgets and financial planning

You will need:

• Strong computer skills (Excel essential)
• Analytical and numerical skills
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• An eye for detail and accurate data entry skills
• Self-drive and motivation  

Ideally you will be a self starter who enjoys working with data, is good at multitasking and works well in a fast-paced environment.
