Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Head of Internal Communications key responsibility is to support The Warehouse Group to achieve its business objectives by bringing to life the business strategy and driving team member engagement by helping them feel informed, valued, and connected to the business, both within their own brands and as part of TW Group. The more we can communicate messages they will understand, the better it is for our team to stay in the loop with what is happening, to be able to get in touch with the right person, and ideally this will lead to a more engaged team who have a clear sense of purpose.

 

You will have proven leadership experience, as you will have two direct reports, as well as excellent stakeholder management skills. This role will see you working closely with our CEOs and senior leaders across all of the business to ensure that the business is provided with clear and accurate communications around our strategy, in support of business objectives and programmes of work. Being insightful, innovative and proactive, you will create communications that inspire and engage the business.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice to our CEOs and senior leaders
  • Working on cross functional projects to deliver the right communication and message
  • Delivering the Internal Communications strategy and plan
  • Managing the internal communications budget
  • Displaying leadership and people development capabilities
  • Continuously improving for our customers

 

Your success will be defined by your ability to make the complex simple and communicate effectively across a diverse audience. To achieve this, you will be tertiary qualified and have proven internal communications experience gained within a large and complex organisation. Being highly organised, having the ability to link things back to the business strategy, being able to tailor Group messages for each of our brands in an efficient manner, and finally being able to work within a fast moving environment and to tight deadlines will hold you in good stead to succeed.
