About the Job:

As part of our growing Sourcing function this role will see you working alongside our talented Quality team, ensuring that Best Practice is always front of mind. 

 

We are looking for a strong Technician ideally from a textile or accessory background. You'll like the idea of working in a highly-motivated and busy team within a fast-paced and ever changing retail environment.

 

Reporting to the QA Team Leader and working with core stakeholders: Coordinators, Planners, Buyers, Operations, Suppliers and our Sourcing offices your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering growth in the percentage of in-house inspections across soft goods. 
  • Compiling Spec/Tech Packs, advising Buyers & Designers on construction and evaluate new styles. 
  • Evaluating incoming approval samples - against garment specs, fit, wash & wear and fabric testing.
  • Assisting monthly in-store quality Audits & collating results
  • Identifying opportunities to change or improve QA strategy.
  • Managing and resolving customer complaints, return rate trends and where appropriate instigating reworks and withdraws from sale.

 

About You:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong QA Technician looking to step into a role where you'll be able to influence and have an impact on what Best Practice looks like and have ways to improve QA strategy. You will be a stickler for details with top notch written and verbal communications skills as you will be expected to collaborate effectively across multiple countries and time zones. 

 

You'll be someone who will have proven testing experience and strong fabric knowledge and ideally you'll be from a Patternmaking or Garment Tech background. Experience within the Textile or Apparel industry would be ideal as would experience using Corel Draw.
