What is the role?

Torpedo7 Nelson is looking for an experienced full time sales assistant. 

As a full time sales assistant, you will be focused on ensuring we exceed our customers’ service expectations, whilst remaining focused on your individual sales targets. We offer awesome products and we know our customers purchase from us because we also offer them expert service. 

Our ideal sales assistant will have a passion for outdoor adventure sport and have a desire to learn and grow within the outdoor adventure sport industry. Knowledge of our current range and previous retail experience will be seen as an advantage to any potential candidate.

In this role, you will take responsibility to proactively approach your customers and use your communication skills to build rapport. It’s about the ability to genuinely talk to people about the gear we sell while delivering excellent service to our customers and meeting your individual targets.

This full time role involves working five days per week, the ability to be able to work both weekend days will be seen as an advantage. 

Who are we looking for?

The successful applicant will have:

• A passion for outdoor adventure sports
• In-depth knowledge of the Torpedo7 product range
• Minimum 1 years previous retail experience
• Experience meeting and exceeding sales targets and be a sales superstar
• A customer-centric attitude and live the ‘See You Out There’ culture
• A genuine desire to help people get into the sport but also have the confidence and experience to sell
• The ability to work as part of a team
• A desire to deliver a memorable experience to our customers
• Must be able to work weekends
