This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior HR Advisor to join our People Support Service team working across our Brands covering everything from our Store Operations network across New Zealand as
well as our Store Support Office in Auckland. Our People Support team has a strong focus on doing the right thing for all people at The Warehouse Group!


We are looking for a Senior HR Advisor / HR Business Partner who ideally understands the fast-paced nature of a retail environment. The objective of this role is to lead the Service Partner team to provide excellent service and HR advisory advice to our team and managers across all brands which
help to achieve strategic business goals through People Support. This role is also an active member of the Service Partner team, answering queries and escalating appropriately.


Reporting to the GM of People Support Operations and Improvement, you will be someone who enjoys an ever-changing, dynamic environment where you will face challenges on a daily basis. Your leadership
experience as well as your resilience, influencing and push back abilities will hold you in good stead for this position and being able to manage relationships up to the Senior Leadership level.


To succeed you will need to be a strong Team Leader with a proven background in: 

  • Operating  effectively within a large, fast-paced organisation – having a  background in retail and multi-site locations is also beneficial.
  • Influencing, partnering and coaching within the business.
  • Delivering business plans to move your customers forward.
  • Having previous experience within a large HR  team with a tiered model would also be a value add.


You will also demonstrate:

  • Clear, effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Great customer service and focus.
  • Resilience, and strong stakeholder management skills.
  • A  real drive and passion for people and doing the right thing.
  • A sound understanding of HR legislation, and HR processes and practices.
  • Goal setting and review for individuals and team to ensure continuous development and performance improvement.
  • Have sound judgement and strong values
