Job Description

Put your negotiation skills to work helping injured clients keep more of their settlement.

The Ward Law Group is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Reductions Specialist to negotiate medical balances and move settled cases toward closing. If you take ownership of your files, follow through consistently, and deliver results in a high-volume environment, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Negotiate hospital liens, medical provider balances, and other healthcare-related claims under attorney supervision and firm procedures.
  • Review medical bills, verify outstanding balances and applicable insurance payments, and obtain supporting documentation.
  • Submit reduction requests, follow up with providers and lienholders, and secure written confirmation of agreements.
  • Manage a high-volume reductions caseload, prioritize aging files, and resolve outstanding items that delay closing.
  • Maintain accurate balances, negotiation notes, agreements, and case updates in Litify.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and closing staff to verify figures for closing statements and support settlement disbursements.
  • Keep clients informed about reduction progress and refer legal questions or disputes requiring legal analysis to the appropriate attorney.
  • Meet departmental expectations for reduction results, turnaround times, productivity, and accuracy.

What You Bring

  • At least two years of hands-on plaintiff personal injury reductions experience.
  • Direct experience negotiating hospital and medical provider balances, with the ability to explain your strategies and measurable results.
  • Experience independently managing reductions from balance verification through written agreements and closing coordination.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish, with strong negotiation and client communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload using legal case management software; Litify experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual English and Spanish.
  • Experience negotiating hospital and provider reductions.
  • Experience preparing closing statements and settlement disbursements.
  • Knowledge of PIP, health insurance liens, Letters of Protection (LOPs), and medical provider billing practices.

This position is open to work at our office 5 days a week.
