Job Description

Are you an experienced Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment?

The Ward Law Group is seeking an experienced Bilingual (English/Spanish) Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to support our litigation attorneys throughout the life of a case.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience handling discovery, medical records, litigation deadlines, trial preparation, and client communication while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail.

This position is 100% onsite in our New York City office.

What You'll Do

  • Manage personal injury litigation files from filing through trial.
  • Draft, review, and respond to discovery demands and responses.
  • Prepare Bills of Particulars, authorizations, subpoenas, and litigation documents.
  • Track litigation deadlines and ensure timely completion of all tasks.
  • Coordinate medical records, billing records, and damages documentation.
  • Organize medical records by provider and chronology.
  • Maintain accurate case information in Litify.
  • Assist attorneys with depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation.
  • Prepare exhibits and trial notebooks.
  • Communicate with clients in both English and Spanish.
  • Maintain regular client communication and provide case updates.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to efficiently move cases toward resolution.

Performance Expectations

Success in this role will be measured by the ability to:

  • Manage a high-volume litigation caseload while maintaining accuracy.
  • Meet all litigation deadlines without supervision.
  • Produce accurate and timely discovery responses.
  • Maintain complete and organized medical records.
  • Keep Litify updated with accurate case information.
  • Deliver exceptional client communication and responsiveness.
  • Successfully support attorneys through trial preparation.
  • Demonstrate strong organization, accountability, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of recent Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal experience.
  • Experience handling New York personal injury litigation matters.
  • Experience drafting:
    • Discovery Demands
    • Discovery Responses
    • Bills of Particulars
    • Medical Authorizations
  • Experience managing litigation deadlines independently.
  • Experience organizing and reviewing medical records.
  • Experience preparing trial exhibits and litigation documents.
  • Experience using legal case management software (Litify preferred).
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday in New York City.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Litify.
  • Experience supporting trial attorneys.
  • Experience preparing deposition summaries.
  • Experience preparing trial notebooks.
  • Experience coordinating expert witnesses.
  • Experience working in a high-volume Plaintiff Personal Injury law firm.

Additional Training

Employees may occasionally be required to attend in-person training sessions, including weekend training when necessary. Employees will receive advance notice before any required training.
