Our construction claims group provides expert services to contractors, owners, developers, sureties, and attorneys for construction disputes. These services include forensic schedule and delay analysis, quantum / damages calculations, standard of care and liability reviews

We are looking for a Consultant to join our Scheduling Claims group in our Irvine, CA office who has prior experience working on construction delay and schedule analysis in support of claims and litigation.

What you will be doing:

• Support detailed analysis of data and documentation, including construction drawings, schedules, submittals, etc. to support development of expert reports
• Provide support in the preparation of forensic schedule analysis and calculation of delays through use of various modelling methods
• Conduct productivity impact analyses and document results
• Perform the calculation of delay damages, calculation of lost profit / income, and assessment of consequential damages
• Review and verify construction costs and cost reasonableness
• Perform reviews of baseline and periodic schedule updates for quality, compliance with specifications and overall reasonableness
• Prepare client communications for senior level review

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, construction-related field 
• 4+ years of experience working in construction management, construction claims, or scheduling/cost control - candidates with direct claims experience strongly preferred
• Prior experience in preparing or evaluating construction contract claims, particularly as it relates to dispute resolution and schedule delays is strongly preferred 
• Demonstrated expertise in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents, and a firm understanding of CPM scheduling
• Ability to work in a consultant setting and track time against budget. prior experience working in a consulting team servicing construction claims is strongly preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing
• Working proficiency with MS Office (intermediate Excel) required
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Primavera P6

The expected hiring range for this role is between $95,000-$135,000 depending on the experience level of the candidate.
