Job Description

The Vertex Companies, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Structures team. Our solutions span the globe and support a full range of building projects.

Core Responsibilities

  • Structural engineering design of architectural structures, including but not limited to office buildings, schools, hospitality and resorts, religious, multi family, and more
  • Prepare and review engineering plans, construction drawings, cost estimates and specifications
  • Training/mentoring of junior staff
  • Prepare all required professional documents and reports needed to carry out and complete a project
  • Provide CAD support for all projects as necessary using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Direct interaction with the client, owner, other engineering consultants, and contractors as needed
  • Construction administration responsibilities such as shop drawing review, responding to contractor questions, and site inspections

Qualifications

  • BS in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering (MS a plus)
  • 10+ years of professional structural engineering experience in the design of architectural structures
  • Professional registration as PE or SE required
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to perform complex tasks and handle multiple priorities under fast-paced conditions
  • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
