Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for two new Transnational Education Student Coordinators to join the Faculty of Science and support our growing Transnational Education team, an area of key strategic growth for the Faculty.
The purpose of the position is to provide effective and efficient coordination of academic administration and regulatory processes across the schools and/or departments for international students studying at the University under articulation agreements.
This role is responsible for coordinating and managing a range of academic administration processes. Growth in student numbers in this area and the relevant disciplines means the role will require a clearly demonstrated ability to work under delete pressure to meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy. Supporting our students is a priority, so you will bring a proactive, customer-focused approach and a problem-solving aptitude to the role.
Ideally, you will be tertiary-qualified or have relevant experience in a similar role within a large and complex organization. Your ability to build robust relationships with stakeholders while managing expectations will also be key to your success in this role.
Candidates with expert knowledge and experience of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (or a similar student management system) and proficiency in the Microsoft suite of packages will be strongly considered.
A strong command of English (written and verbal) is essential. The ability to communicate in Chinese (written and verbal) would be a distinct advantage and is highly valued in supporting our diverse student cohort.
Ngā Haepapa Matua | Key Responsibilities (not limited too):
- Provide specialist advice and be the first point of contact and support for students to assist them with all aspects of enrolment, academic progress, and completion.
- Coordinating and supporting the dissertation and thesis examination process for students in Masters’ programmes.
- Assist with complex admission and records maintenance queries and requests.
- Carry out enrolment checks, ensuring enrolment details and student exceptions correctly reflect each student’s status and course of study.
- Coordinate processes to ensure students have completed relevant prerequisite courses at other institutions.
- Ensure students studying with us on articulation agreements are properly considered in departmental, Faculty, and University planning, including timetabling and curriculum requirements.
- Liaising with external partners, where relevant.
- Support event delivery, including hosting visitors and running specific sessions.
- Assist with groups visiting the campus on short-term visits.
- Always demonstrate strong customer service skills and ensure students feel supported through the student lifecycle.

Available positions:
1 x full-time permanent position (37.5 hr p/w)
1 x 12-month fixed-term position from July 2026 to July 2027 (37.5 hr p/w)
The remuneration range is $70,000-$75,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

You may have:
- Experience across marketing, communications, advertising, or campaign delivery

- Experience working with agencies or external suppliers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to build trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Experience within a tertiary, public sector, or large complex organisation would be an advantage
