We are seeking a Transnational Education (TNE) Process Advisor to support the successful establishment, implementation, and delivery of TNE programmes. This role also focuses on reviewing current processes, identifying opportunities, and driving changes to improve efficiency and accelerate partnership development.
You will join the International Office, which leads the University’s internationalisation activities. These include international student recruitment, profile and reputation building, international partnership development, transnational education, and global mobility programmes.
The overarching purpose of this project-based role is to enhance the processes for reviewing and assessing new and existing TNE programmes. You will be responsible for evaluating current processes within the TNE team and faculties, with a view to developing a coordinated, university-wide approach to process improvement.
You will work closely with stakeholders across the University to understand, map, and improve current processes. This includes engaging with senior leaders, TNE leads within faculties, student support services, and centralised services, as well colleagues in Global Partnerships and Development. The role considers operational, financial, and legal aspects of these processes.
The TNE Advisor will draw on industry best practice to support the University’s strategic objectives for TNE. The role will focus on developing data led, well considered, and internally reviewed business cases, establishing a strong process foundation over the 12-month fixed term. The TNE Advisor will provide quarterly updates on progress, challenges, and key learnings through written reports and presentations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage relationships and advise faculty leaders and stakeholders on changes to policies and guidelines. The goal is to make University processes more effective and efficient while providing expert knowledge during the design and review of these changes. Provide leadership and support across departments to help everyone achieve shared goals.
- Investigate and review current University processes related to transnational education.
- Ensure that the completion of key transnational education projects is shared across the University using the official International Office communication plan.
- Review feedback and preferences from internal stakeholders to support the partnership goals of the International Office. Ensure all communication is objective, respectful, and transparent.
- Provide quarterly updates through written reports and presentations. These updates will track project progress and help the Director International deliver the internationalisation strategy for the University.
This is a fixed-term, full-time position (37.5 hours per week), due to run for 12 months. The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000, negotiable depending on skills and experience.

You will have a strong foundation in the tertiary education sector and a deep understanding of best practice for implementing transnational education. Specifically, you will understand how a university assesses and manages agreements with overseas partners. You are someone who can effectively advise a wide network of internal stakeholders while strengthening relationships with our partner institutions and in country representatives.
We are looking for a highly organised professional with an analytical approach to problem solving. You must be able to prioritise complex tasks and offer clear solutions. Your ability to create reports and deliver engaging in person presentations is essential, as you will need to explain information in a way that is easy for others to understand.
A strong delivery mindset and excellent planning skills are vital for this role. You will have experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines through structured project management. You possess adaptable communication and negotiation skills, allowing you to influence outcomes at all levels of the university hierarchy.
The successful candidate will have a history of implementing strategic and process changes that deliver real value. You should be an expert in stakeholder management and intra institutional partnerships, with the ability to tailor your messaging for diverse audiences and various cultural contexts.

- Demonstrable experience working in a TNE environment within the higher education sector.
- Established experience evaluating, designing and planning the implementation of cross institutional processes
- Proven track record of process improvement in a complex environment with competing strategic intentions
- Strong planning skills including gateway management, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Well-developed and adaptable communication skills to navigate communications with all levels of the University hierarchy
- Strong relationship management, negotiation and influencing skills, with a history of cultivating and implementing strategic and process changes that deliver value to University TNE objectives and intentions
