Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

Student and Scholarly Services is looking for two exceptional people to join our team in the City Campus Student Hub. There are Student Hubs across our campuses, and they are the physical gateway to the University providing a welcoming, friendly, and mana-enhancing support and advice service for future and current students.

We deliver a convenient and unified experience through the one-stop-shop provision of mainly in-person services across all areas of being a student, supported by extended operating hours and cross-trained team members. Our services include guidance and advice on being a student, navigating the University, exploring study options, applying, programmes and courses, progression support and planning, learning support and information, Library and IT student services, and wellbeing, engagement, and employability services.

In this role you will hold an operational portfolio within Student IT, helping to drive service improvements and support the refinement of Student IT services. This includes assisting with the development and delivery of student workshops, providing basic training and guidance to Hub Assistants, and working collaboratively with teams across the University.

This is a varied, people focused role that offers the opportunity to build practical IT support experience while contributing to services that directly support the student community.

Previous IT support experience or studies in IT or a related field are desirable, and a basic level of technical knowledge is required. Troubleshooting skills, curiosity, and a willingness to investigate and resolve technical issues are also important for success in this role. The work patterns for these permanent roles are:

  • Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm and
  • Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

The salary range for these roles is $55,634 - $62,900 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.
