Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We are looking for a Clinical Site Coordinator based across two sites (North Shore and Waitakare) to play a key role in supporting the delivery of clinical education within the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences. In this position, you will ensure the smooth operation of administrative processes that underpin clinical teaching and placements, contributing directly to the success of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in medicine and other health professions.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating clinical placements for a defined group of disciplines, managing timetables and assessments, and liaising with academic staff, clinical supervisors, and external stakeholders. You will also assist in providing pastoral support to students, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
This is a varied and rewarding role that requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective relationships across a wide range of people. You will be part of a collaborative team that values continuous improvement, and your work will have a direct impact on the quality of clinical education and the student experience.
This is a part time (18.75h per week), permanent position.
The salary range for this role is $63,600 – $79,300 (pro-rated), depending on skills and experience

Essential skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualification or relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrative role involving coordination across internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service in a complex, service-focused environment.
Preferred skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant tertiary qualification.
- Experience working with tertiary students or academic staff, and/or clinicians and clinical support personnel within clinical, hospital, or healthcare education environments.
- Experience navigating both tertiary education and healthcare environments, with an understanding of how teaching, clinical operations, and student support intersect within a clinical campus or hospital setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of university and hospital systems and processes, including academic policies, student support services, and clinical placement coordination.
