Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

The University of Auckland's Faculty of Engineering and Design is seeking a dynamic Marketing Adviser to help build the faculty's profile and support the development and execution of engaging marketing communications and campaigns for multiple audiences across various platforms.

This role provides planning and operational support to the Communications and Marketing Manager and works closely with other Marketing Advisers, the Graphic Designer, and the Content Team, as well as external Creative and Media Agencies.  Responsibilities of this role include recruitment marketing for allocated portfolios, campaign planning, development, execution, and reporting, as well as management of external agencies. Leveraging owned and paid communication and marketing channels to achieve strategic objectives is also a key responsibility.

The team manages a high volume of work, working alongside several key stakeholders at the Faculty of Engineering and Design. We are therefore looking for someone who can help ensure that the team's workflow runs smoothly and projects are completed on time.

This is a fixedfull-time (37.5 hours per week) opportunity until 1 June 2026. The salary range for the role is $72,000 – $88,900 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

  • Have a bachelor’s degree or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Have experience in a diverse range of marketing and advertising activities across all channels with experience in marketing automation, virtual events and paid advertising, an advantage.
  • Have an advanced level of oral and written English Language communication skills.
