Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We’re not just building careers, we’re building the future of IT.
We are looking for University of Auckland Graduates to join us on our 2026 Graduate Internship Programme and grow successful careers in technology. Become part of a future-focused team driving digital transformation across one of New Zealand’s largest and most complex technology environments.
This is more than just a graduate internship programme; it’s a launchpad for your career. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of technologies, methodologies, and career pathways that you simply won’t find elsewhere.
This programme is ideal for graduates who are curious, adaptable, and excited by the evolving nature of technology. If your sole ambition is to become a software developer or a technical engineer, this may not be the right fit. We’re looking for graduates who want to explore broader, future-focused roles in areas like:
- Data analysis and insights
- Product engineering
- Platform engineering
- AI and emerging technologies
- Critical thinking and problem solving
We welcome applicants from both technical and non-technical backgrounds. Whether you’ve studied computer science, business, science, arts, or another discipline, if you’re passionate about technology and keen to make an impact, we want to hear from you.
While coding may be part of your journey, we’re looking for versatile thinkers who want to go beyond, to understand systems, solve complex problems, and shape the digital experiences of tomorrow.
The programme
Our 18-month rotational programme is designed to build your technical capability, professional confidence, and career clarity. You’ll begin with a comprehensive induction and a hands-on Skills Bootcamp, where you’ll work on real projects and develop core technical and soft skills in a supportive learning environment.
Following the bootcamp, you’ll complete three 4-month rotations in the following areas of Digital Services, including:
- Performance and Modernisation
- Digital Workspace
- Platform Engineering
- Product Engineering
Each rotation is carefully planned to give you meaningful experience, mentorship, and exposure to different teams and technologies. You will grow your technical skills as well as those all-important soft skills, like communication, relationship building, problem solving, adaptability, resilience and more!
