Job Description

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity 

The Digital Services team is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager on a 12-month fixed term basis. 

Projects are not limited to but include: cloud integration & migration for enterprise applications, identifying University digital car parking solutions from business case and beyond, and replacing and replacing the physical security incident management system. 

This is a full time (37.5hours/week) fixed term (12month) position, with a salary range of $115,001 - $132,700 per annum depending on skills & experience. For more detailed information, please refer to the Position Description.  

He kōrero mōu | About you

For these projects you will be expected to be a confident leader and driver of the delivery of the project. They will need to be completed within the agreed time frames while facilitating collaboration between key stakeholders. These stakeholders will be from third party vendors, our internal IT teams as well as the wider University faculty and service departments, mainly the Property portfolio for the above-mentioned projects. 

The main accountabilities for this position include: 

  • Ensuring all aspects of organisational change have been identified and effectively managed in-line with recognised change management methodologies. 

  • Developing, managing and monitoring project plans and their overall progress 

  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure that risks, issues, and blockers are managed effectively. 

  • Provide necessary reporting and analytics on project progress and outputs. 

  • Managing budgets which includes overseeing the project commitments/resource, forecasting costs against budget, and preparing monthly forecast reports 

  • Managing relationships and communications with all stakeholders, promoting the projects and the benefits to be delivered 

You will become a member of the well-established high-performing and collaborative team, where you will need to form quick partnerships with key stakeholders throughout the University's diverse and complex environment.

Connect | Rātonga Matihiko is the IT Group within the University and is responsible for the delivery and support of applications, infrastructure and end-user devices to support the University's core functions of Teaching, Learning and Research within Faculties, Large-Scale Research Institutes and the supporting Service Divisions.
