Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor to contribute to the leadership and strategic development of our undergraduate and postgraduate Communication degree programmes. You will balance your time between teaching, research and other activities that promote the University or make a positive impact to the communities we serve. In line with this, you will contribute to the delivery and development of our Bachelor of Communication degree and to post-graduate teaching and supervision, including our new Master of Communication and PhD programmes.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), permanent position.
The remuneration for this position is $110,579 - $144,526 dependant on skills and experience.

The successful candidate will be a team player who can contribute and be actively involved in shaping the future of our Communication degree programmes. They will become key players in building an excellent reputation in the field of Communication at the University.
Skills and experience required:
- A doctorate in Communication or related field
- An established programme of research and publication in aspects of Communication
- A strong history of professional experience teaching standalone a/o team taught courses in Communication at the tertiary level
- Experience in the supervision of post-graduate research in appropriate fields
- Solid understanding of and familiarity with the interdisciplinary field of Communication
