Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a driven Agile Portfolio Lead who will be tasked with supporting and enabling team-wide delivery against overall strategic goals while evolving agile and product practices within NeSI through ongoing team agile coaching and product development.

The key responsibilities will include:

  • Advocating for agile values and principles which help teams connect with, and understand their relevance to everyday work.
  • Establishing a shared definition of agile practice, benchmarking and measuring the progress of maturity development over time.
  • Leading the adoption of key tools and platforms to support agile ways of working.
  • Supporting the leadership team in developing strategic portfolio plans, including tracking and facilitating delivery across and within teams.

He kōrero mōu | About you

Our ideal candidate will be a goal-orientated agile practitioner who will be able to lead and guide the successful adoption and execution of agile practices across the business.  In addition, you will also have the following:

  • Agile certifications in Coaching, Facilitation, Leadership
  • Demonstrated experience of agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, Kanban, Lean, Systems Thinking or others
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and training teams in product and agile methods
  • Extensive prior experience in influencing and managing Agile transitions for complex organisations
  • Capable of working across levels of the organisation from individual team members, to stakeholders and business owners, to C-suite and Board of Directors or equivalent
  • Understand the complexities of working within a matrix managed, distributed and/or virtual organisation
  • Experience of working on complicated or advanced technology based projects.
