Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

The School of Environment at the University of Auckland seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Environmental Science (US equivalent: Assistant Professor) to contribute to the School’s research and teaching programmes.

Environmental issues resulting from global drivers, like climate change, are prominent in Aotearoa/New Zealand.  These encompass issues as diverse as threats to water resources, the transition to agricultural sustainability, and biodiversity loss. The School of Environment seeks to appoint an innovative environmental scientist who focuses on drivers and consequences of global environmental change.  The successful applicant will be expected to research and teach collaboratively in their area of expertise.

Preference will be given to a candidate with a strong background in environmental science, or related discipline, with a research focus that brings a natural science perspective to the prediction and/or mitigation of environmental change on biophysical and social systems.
