Job Description

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Recruiter to join our Talent and Recruitment team on a permanent basis due to a recent promotion.

Joining a team of Recruitment Consultants, you will work in partnership with hiring managers to support permanent and fixed-term recruitment across your portfolio of both professional and academic roles.

One of the things our consultants enjoy most about working at the university is the variety of roles they get to work on and learn about, from Accountants to Librarians, to Lecturers, and Laboratory Technicians.

You will manage the advertising and sourcing strategies for all roles in your portfolio (typically 30+ active vacancies), where you will coach and advise managers on best practice recruitment processes, timelines, candidate care and negotiation management.

For some roles, you will be quite hands-on, managing sourcing, longlisting, phone screening, assessments and candidate care. For others, hiring managers will manage the majority of the recruitment process themselves and turn to you for support and advice when needed. This is where your ability to pass on your experience and knowledge comes into play. We are seeking someone able to take the reins to get vacancies filled whilst also being happy to act as a coach and mentor for our managers and support staff.

You'll also get exposure to the numerous projects of the Talent and Recruitment team and get stuck in with the continuous improvement of our service offering to the organisation.
