Job Description

The Student Experience Centre are looking to hire 3 exceptional Student Experience Representatives on a permanent basis.

The role of Student Experience Representative (Inbound) within the Student Experience Centre at The University of Auckland is a pivotal position that will give you a unique opportunity to be of service to our most important customers: our current and future students.

The team seek a start date of 13th of December 2021 or as early as possible for their ideal candidate.

This position is rostered. Our standard business hours are between 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, however there may be some Saturdays and Public Holidays included in your roster. We work 7,5 hours a day (37.5 hours per week) and start times will vary to accommodate operational demands. 

This could look like: 8 am to 4 pm, 9 am to 5 pm or 10 am to 6 pm.

This role is typically based on 49 Symonds Street, Auckland CBD but we may need a level of flexibility during these uncertain times to be able to work on site and from home if and when required.  Please note that during the period that you may need to work off site, you will need to have access to your own personal computer/lap top etc to be able to support this role off site.

This is a band C position within the University Structure with the starting rate being a salary of $41,000 to $42,400 per annum depending on experience.

We are looking for candidates who understand that excellent customer service is not a department, but an attitude. This means you must be able to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, problem solving and computer skills.

Your passion for great customer service is further demonstrated through excellent listening skills as well as an eye for detail. You take pride in your work and combine this with a healthy sense of humour and self-awareness. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will engage you in this varied role.

Relevant experience in the tertiary sector will be considered an asset, however not essential.

Important Skills/ Experience| Nga Pūkenga Motuhake

  • 1 - 2 years’ experience delivering high quality customer service, and experience dealing with complex problems
  • Experience of working with and understanding the needs of a diverse range of clients.
  • Experience working in a Call Centre operation
  • Ability to navigate multiple online systems

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualification or progressing towards this.
